The Student Chapter of Central Louisiana is more than a program — it’s a movement to rebuild opportunity across our communities, one young person at a time. We connect high school students with real-world experience in the homebuilding and construction trades, transforming curiosity into confidence and potential into purpose.

Our organization proudly serves students from Tioga High School, Grant High School, and Jena High School — each chapter united by a shared mission to learn, lead, and build a better future for Central Louisiana.

In just one year, participation has grown from 38 students to 88, representing a remarkable 131% increase in membership and interest in skilled-trades education. Each year, we welcome new schools and expand opportunities for more young people to discover a passion for building their communities — literally and figuratively.

Through hands-on training, mentorship, and service projects, our students aren’t just learning how to build — they’re learning why it matters. Every project, every field day, every volunteer hour is an investment in their future and in the strength of Central Louisiana itself.

Beginning this year, the Student Chapter of Central Louisiana is proud to award $1,000 scholarships directly to deserving students who dedicate time and effort to our program. Unlike traditional scholarships that go straight to schools, these awards go directly to the student — empowering them to make decisions that matter most for their own future. For some, that may mean buying tools to start a small business, putting food on the table, purchasing books for trade or college courses, or simply putting gas in the car to get to work after graduation. These scholarships are made possible only because of the generosity of our donors and sponsors — local people and businesses who believe that investing in a student today builds a stronger, more self-sufficient Central Louisiana tomorrow.

“These kids aren’t just learning how to build homes. They’re building futures — and our support helps lay every brick.”

When you support the Student Chapter, you’re not just donating — you’re changing the trajectory of a student’s life. Your involvement gives them the tools, training, and belief that they can build a career, support their families, and uplift the communities they call home.

Whether you’re a business, an individual, or a local leader, your partnership lays the foundation for the next generation of builders, innovators, and community changers. Together, we’re not only constructing homes — we’re building futures worth fighting for.

Student Testimonial

"Before joining the Student Chapter, I didn’t know what I wanted to do after graduation. Now, I’ve toured job sites, met real professionals, and even lined up an internship. I feel like I’m finally on the right path."
– Jordan T., Tioga High School Senior
